For decades, progressives have attempted to use climate change to justify liberal policy changes. But their latest attempt – a new proposal called the “Great Reset” – is the most ambitious and radical plan the world has seen in more than a generation.

At a virtual meeting earlier in June hosted by the World Economic Forum, some of the planet’s most powerful business leaders, government officials and activists announced a proposal to “reset” the global economy. Instead of traditional capitalism, the high-profile group said the world should adopt more socialistic policies, such as wealth taxes, additional regulations and massive Green New Deal-like government programs.

“Every country, from the United States to China, must participate, and every industry, from oil and gas to tech, must be transformed,” wrote Klaus Schwab, the founder and executive chairman of the World Economic Forum, in an article published on WEF’s website. “In short, we need a ‘Great Reset’ of capitalism.”
Schwab also said that “all aspects of our societies and economies” must be “revamped,” “from education to social contracts and working conditions.”

Joining Schwab at the WEF event was Prince Charles, one of the primary proponents of the Great Reset; Gina Gopinath, the chief economist at the International Monetary Fund; António Guterres, the secretary-general of the United Nations; and CEOs and presidents of major international corporations, such as Microsoft and BP.

Activists from groups such as Greenpeace International and a variety of academics also attended the event or have expressed their support for the Great Reset.
Although many details about the Great Reset won’t be rolled out until the World Economic Forum meets in Davos in January 2021, the general principles of the plan are clear: The world needs massive new government programs and far-reaching policies comparable to those offered by American socialists such as Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) in their Green New Deal plan.

Or, put another way, we need a form of socialism — a word the World Economic Forum has deliberately avoided using, all while calling for countless socialist and progressive plans.

“We need to design policies to align with investment in people and the environment,” said the general secretary of the International Trade Union Confederation, Sharan Burrow. “But above all, the longer-term perspective is about rebalancing economies.”

One of the main themes of the June meeting was that the coronavirus pandemic has created an important “opportunity” for many of the World Economic Forum’s members to enact their radical transformation of capitalism, which they acknowledged would likely not have been made possible without the pandemic.
“We have a golden opportunity to seize something good from this crisis — its unprecedented shockwaves may well make people more receptive to big visions of change,” said Prince Charles at the meeting, adding later, “It is an opportunity we have never had before and may never have again.”

You might be wondering how these leaders plan to convince the world to completely alter its economy over the long run, since the COVID-19 pandemic most assuredly won’t remain a crisis forever. The answer is that they’ve already identified another “crisis” that will require expansive government intervention: Climate change.

“The threat of climate change has been more gradual [than COVID-19]—but its devastating reality for many people and their livelihoods around the world, and its ever greater potential to disrupt, surpasses even that of Covid-19,” Prince Charles said.

Of course, these government officials, activists and influencers can’t impose a systemic change of this size on their own. Which is why they have already started to activate vast networks of left-wing activists from around the world, who will throughout 2021 demand changes in line with the Great Reset.

According to the World Economic Forum, its 2021 Davos summit will include thousands of members of the Global Shapers Community, youth activists located in 400 cities across the planet.
The Global Shapers program was involved in the widespread “climate strikes” of 2019, and more than 1,300 have already been trained by the Climate Reality Project, the highly influential, well-funded climate activist organization run by former Vice President Al Gore, who serves on the World Economic Forum’s Board of Trustees.

For those of us who support free markets, the Great Reset is nothing short of terrifying. Our current crony capitalist system has many flaws, to be sure, but granting more power to the government agents who created that crony system and eroding property rights is not the best way forward. America is the world’s most powerful, prosperous nation precisely because of the very market principles the Great Reset supporters loathe, not in spite of them.

Making matters worse, the left has already proven throughout the COVID-19 pandemic that it can radically transform political realities in the midst of a crisis, so it’s not hard to see how the Great Reset could eventually come to fruition.
Can you imagine George W. Bush or Bill Clinton printing trillions of dollars and mailing it to millions of people who didn’t lose their jobs? This would have been unthinkable just a couple of decades ago. Today, this policy garners bipartisan support.

Prince Charles was right: The present pandemic is a “golden opportunity” for radical change. And if Al Gore, Prince Charles and the rest of the World Economic Forum can convince enough people that attempting to stop climate change is also worth dramatically pushing humanity toward greater government control, then radical – and catastrophic – change is exactly what we’re going to get.

This is why I've always said that I like pre WWII America, we were isolationists. We don't need to be a part of their "progressive" "bold" "new" world!

So their plan is to try to make some version of socialism around the planet. Yeah, good call. A system that has never, ever worked anywhere is the plan? God help us! I can hear the standard explanation "yes, but this time we'll do it differently" already. Differently? Wouldn't that make it not socialism? Maybe Greta Thunberg will get a very high position just to make this completely POS idea - with climate change also added to the mix! - implode even faster. Who thinks this insanity is a good idea?!?!:crazy::crazy::crazy: I don't know about living in interesting times but we certainly ARE living in STUPID times!!!!!

America needs to stay a sovereign nation under God. Let the rest of the world do what it will do. America is a beacon of freedom to the world, and needs to realize that, and continue to be that light

    "Reset". An ambiguous term.

I do not have the illustrious academic background of the guy who founded this "feel good" council. However, I can make some observations:

    1. Marx was wrong. According to Marxism, there are two main classes of people: The bourgeoisie controls the capital and means of production, and the proletariat provide the labour. The revolution was supposed to start in the countryside. Marx overlooked the existence of a third class, the managerial class. He missed it because he was about 60 years ahead of industrialization. The managerial class won the Russian revolution - not the royalty or the peasants.

    2. The implication of "reset" is that "capitalism" has to be regulated or it is "bad". It is regulated! A myriad of rules, regulations, tax incentives, tax disincentives.

    3. In a world in which "mordida" rules in Mexico, corrupt building inspectors in Bangladesh, a PRC that does not enforce worker income and safety regulations, this dude calls for a reset that will not happen.

    4. Ok. Now for part of my reset of American capitalism.
    a. no student loans for majors in psychology, anthropology, ethnic studies, women studies, sociology.
    b. no tax exemptions for children dependents. If you want kids, they are your responsibility.
    c. no taxation on any income if put into retirement accounts. The income is taxed only when withdrawn from the retirement account.
    d. no loans from the federal government to insolvent state unemployment programs.
    e. no federal "matching funds" programs offered to state and local governments.

Sovereign nations don't have to not work with one another. It is a business partnership on a world scale. You earn respect or scorn by your actions as a nation.

Isolation is not the answer. Teaching how to be rational in world relations in the answer. We are one world under God, but we all follow different governing philosophies. America is a beacon of freedom and individual equality.

Trump is doing everything to counter the Reset. I believe it is and has been his prime agenda. He knew before taking office that the NS/Globalist/Central bankers/MSM propagandists, were the biggest threat to American sovereignty and why he pounds in MAGA! He stated it so eloquently at the UN a while back, that globalism was a failed avenue and that countries maintaining borders and sovereignty, was the only way forward.

To the DS, President Trump is like Jesus in the temple before his crucifixion, for those who have spent time with the New Testament.

The globalist need the US on their side in order for the reset to take place. Think Obama, Hillary, Kerry, Romney, Schiff, Pelosi, Schummer......etc. Everything they threw at Trump has failed, colossally, from a fake dossier, investigation, impeachment, DS initiated virus pandemic, mail in balloting, voter fraud, infecting him with a virus, to losing in a 2020 red tsunami, landslide.

-Hillary was not to lose.................... but, however, she did!
-A world war was to happen that the US was to lose, to justify the reset....... stopped by Trump.
    -Global depression............. still in progress.
    -Famine ........................... still in progress.
-Last minute crashing of the stock market, trying to influence 2020 elections.
-Voter suppression via MSM propaganda and fake polls.
    -Don't forget "Dallas!"
-Usher in digital currency.... still in progress.

Trump has upset the apple cart. Pulled the Fed Res. into the Treasury Department. The globalists are continuing on with their plan. Antifa, BLM, riots, looting, burning.....etc.

US economy booms, while the rest of the globalist controlled/locked down world crashes and burns. Hopefully the rest of the world takes Trumps lead and follows, in order to destroy the CB/DS.

Paranoid, you might say?.............. Maybe a little, however, I've been in preparation for these realities since 9/11/2012.

We all might do well to pick up some gold and other commodities. It's a little late to build your gun/ammo stash and will need to go to war with what you have.

    My .02.

Roman Catholic Archbishop Carlo Maria Viganò, a former papal ambassador to the United States. wrote a letter to Trump in May warning that the COVID-19 pandemic was being used to usher in a "world government" stripping people of their freedoms. In a letter in June, he encouraged Trump in his fight against the "Deep State."

He's known as a Vatican whistleblower, helping expose in 2012 the financial-corruption scandal in the Holy See and accusing Pope Francis and other church leaders in a 2018 letter of covering up sexual abuse allegations against former cardinal Theodore McCarrick.

"Allow me to address you at this hour in which the fate of the whole world is being threatened by a global conspiracy against God and humanity," Vigano began. "I write to you as an archbishop, as a successor of the Apostles, as the former apostolic nuncio to the United States of America. I am writing to you in the midst of the silence of both civil and religious authorities. May you accept these words of mine as the 'voice of one crying out in the desert' (John 1:23)."

It's not a reset if the world has never been there.
It won't work. Not because it's a horrible idea, it is that. But because it would require the entire world to cooperate, and that will never happen. It's human nature to try and get an advantage for you and yours and cheating would be rampant. The best cheater would come out on top and then we wouldn't all be equal would we?

If Biden wins, he will sign the Paris climate agreement which allows China to to produce unlimited CO2 and at the same time restricts the West.
That will set the stage for Chinese global dominance.
    The rest will be history.

So starts the 'new' subject of the "great reset"! Really? This s**t has been ongoing since the crusades. It may take awhile before it work. Oh yeah, who gave us the "thousand points of light" comment and "it take a village to raise a child"?
