I found this attachment rather interesting in that people actually read and believed its contents??!! Maybe it only applied to June Cleaver.

    Stay safe!

Actually I know plenty of strong women who agree with every word in that article. My wife is one of them.

This shows up every 6 months or so, usually on GNG.

    The guide is 100% true.

The guide is from Home Ec books from the 50's.

    My mom still has hers.

We laugh at it a lot.

My wife is not that woman, but tries her darnedest to be a good wife.

Undetermined is NOT fake. Undetermined is undetermined.

Perhaps next time I'm at "Mom's," I will digital-photo the book and all'ya'll can see. Regardless of what Snopes says, the list-of-what-to-do is 100% legit.

A lot of these ladies had to cope with men who went through hell in WWII and Korea.

I had an Great-Uncle who came back from 4 years fighting in North Africa and Korea who might sit outside and smoke for an hour without talking to stop thinking about things when my dad was a kid.

He had spent 3 days on a beach surrounded by the dead bodies of his friends in Italy. He fought across North Africa, and had fought in Italy using a Grease Gun to clear rooms.

Ironically he had a job which exempted him from service but he got drunk one night and joined up.

A lot of guys had a lot of difficulties and this might be some good advice for some wives of men that were coming to terms with the aftermath of some preety awful times.

I doubt a lot of women today would stand by a guy. Some marriages are being tested right now, and I hope and pray a lot of these gals and guys can make it.

    You know what,

Yesterday I had a pretty rough day at work. Called the wife just as I was leaving to let her know I was going to be home later than usual.

Sat in traffic for a bout 45 mins.

Got home, dinner was cooked, table was set, kids were waiting for me with big welcoming smiles.

Had a couple of beers after dinner. Did some work in the yard.

    Life was good.

    Today isn't so bad.

We can make fun of that page, but there is a lot to be said for what's in it.
