I have a delica that's getting pretty old and battered. What is the Glock of the knife world? I need a durable folder and maybe a regular field knife. How is glock's field knife?

Just checking before I throw the coin around. I don't know much about knives, so I figured I'd ask here.;)

    How about a Glock knife?

Durable, good throwing knife, it's a Glock.

For general utility the Fallkniven line can not be beat in a production knife.

I second the thought with the Fallkniven line. Most of all i love my origional solid VG-10 A1 which i recently aquired. To me it just says USE AND ABUSE me. Most of my other knives i would rather just look at, or carry, but when it would actually come to putting the knives through a really tough job, i would usually use some cheep and nasty $50buck thing. But with the A1 now, i think its a first class knife and i would have no second thoughts about acutally using it hard.

If i was every 'allowed' to go bush with my glock, i would without a doubt back it up with the A1, and my AFCK with combo edge.

I'll second that as well. The BC-Letter opener almost came home with me today. It will next weekend!

The only metal part it has is the copper spring!

In my opinion the following would make great company to Glock:

    Buck "Strider Tanto"
    Cold Steel "Night Force"

Spyderco Lil' Temperance (What I replaced my Delica with) or Chinook II, or the Buck/Strider Solution.

For field knife, the Fallkniven series, or if you really want to drool over some serious field tools, www.mercworx.com they are well made! (Far from cheap!) or Strider knives, both of which come from a military operational background.

    I'll second swamp rats.

And, IMO Becker Knife and Tool is the closest fit in knife terms to the reliability and value to Glock as it fits in the gun world. They are cheaper that swamp rats, both are great values.
