If we lose the Senate, we won’t get another judge confirmed in 4 more years.

I’m thinking Arizona is a loss and Georgia a win. No idea about the other two.

At this point I think both the Senate and White House are toss ups. Trump is sure doing everything he can (except maybe in not giving McSally more help) to keep the White House and Senate. I hate that almost 100 million votes have already been cast.

    Yup
A stalemate is much better than socialism.
Mitch still is working with Trump to appoint circuit court judges in the interim.
If we keep the senate and take back the house with Trump as commander in chief I will have to open up a bottle of 16 year old Lagavulin single malt scotch.

I was thinking that in some states if you get the death penalty (and actually carry it out in 20 years) you have the choice of death by lethal injection or death by firing squad. There was some talk of adding death by listening to Biden speeches for 24 hours straight but that was deemed too cruel and unusual. ;)

He’s been here several times in the last month or so. In smaller towns too. He was in Prescott and Goodyear just in the last two or three weeks. I don’t know if that helps McSally or not but I hope so. I don’t listen to much of his rally talking.

It STILL amazes me that FDR died starting his FOURTH TERM as president! How and why was that allowed? I know the wars had a lot to do with it but four terms, really?!

And we can rest assured that a GOP senate will roll over let Harris (yes that’ll be the president) by with anything she wants with little to no resistance. The GOP is spineless and weak. Without Trump they’re just controlled opposition.

I actually do not think this would happen. They will continue to approve pork barrel spending like drunken sailers on shore leave but they will not approve any far left wing judges and there will be no addition of DC or PR as states and there will be no court packing.

PS- The spineless Senate Republicans got 3 Supreme Court Justices confirmed, got a ton of hopefully conservative Federal judges confirmed, and have (so far) refused to take up Pelosi'ds latest pork ridden 2+ trillion dollar stimulous bill.

There were no term limits for President.

Are you just as amazed that Senators and Representatives can serve for life if they keep getting re-elected?

The Founders did NOT see a need for Term Limits for any elected official, so that is not part of the Constitution as they originally wrote it...

How long was Woodrow Wilson't wife defacto President when he had a stroke? Democrats will do literally anything to maintain power once they get it.

This was not the intent of our founding fathers when they created Congress. A key part of the process, as seen by the likes of President John Adams and George Washington, was that there would be a rotation of citizen legislators. Citizens were to take time away from whatever their professions were and spend a period of time serving their county. After that short period had passed these public servants were then to return to their original profession. Being a politician has become a profession in itself. Term limits are needed to prevent this growing trend. No one was supposed to serve over 35 years in the House and or Senate. We should not have people who are more likely to die in office than get voted out. That is not how our founding fathers envisioned our country being run and this is one of many reasons we need term limits on Congress.

I thought this also. But the nation is already divided. There is no fix with 1000's of liberal media news outlets and almost elzilcho conservative outlets.

Letting them have California would mean, 55 electors we never have to worry about.
And as I said many lib voters will flock there by the 10's of millions.

You can say "nope, all or nothing." It's just a matter of time with all the lib media before it's "Nothing". Once the white house turns blue with a senate (and it will sometime again, if now, then a little later). You will say "we should have let them have that state"

Because once they have control. We will NEVER see a Republican senate again.. they will add DC & PR and that 4 dem senators, they will appoint 12-15 justices to the court that are WAY WAY left, your right to bear arms will be HISTORY, along with other rights. The dems will open the borders and let immigrants pour into America by the billions that are used to socialist type gov countries and they will bring their liberal values with them.

Once they have California. Those who live there for many years with all those millions of immigrants pouring in there, taxes raises to 70% to support them, crime out the roof, cartels running rampet, no one but those cartels and gangs allowed to own a gun. Hate crime laws will be so strong, if your white and even look at someone with a tan wrong it's 5 yrs to life.
Freedom of speech gone. Say the wrong things, prision time.

I think a few people will want to come back to the other 49 states in no time.

Government was also not supposed to be a paid position... but things changed.

When I took Civics back in the 1970s, I was struck by the fact that we amended the Constitution and limited the terms of the President and NOT the Congress. At that time it was clear to me that Congress was the real problem, and not a 4 term President...

I still believe that way, and see no reason for term limits on the President while we allow Congress to serve for life.
