Are you a member of the Christian Left?
You now have your very own website.

This is New Age, Modernist Christianity at it's very best.
A perverted mixing of liberal politics and Christianity.

And it's everything that's wrong with Christianity today, especially the part where they welcome sinners just as they are.

Sinners should be welcome, but not just as they are.
They must be born again, accept Jesus Christ and he will take their sin away.

The liberal infestation of Christianity is wrong. Liberals are wrong.

    http://www.thechristianleft.org/

The Christian Left is a term originating in the United States, used to describe a spectrum of left-wing Christian political and social movements which largely embraces social justice.

We are The Christian Left. We’re all around you. We’re among the people. Take a look. We’re part of the Body of Christ. We’re Christians. We’re Liberal. We make no apologies.

We’re not ‘New Age. We’re not waiting for some earthly leader to come and make everything alright - that man already came. We’re Christians. We’re Liberals. Please get used to it.

It wasn’t just Jesus’ birth, death, and resurrection that matter. It was his life too!

The most common religious viewpoint which might be described as ‘left wing’ is social justice, or care for the poor and the oppressed. Supporters of this might encourage universal health care, welfare provision, subsidized education, foreign aid, and Affirmative Action for improving the conditions of the disadvantaged.

The Christian Left sometimes differs from other Christian political groups on issues including homosexuality.

This is often not a matter of different religious ideas, but one of focus — viewing the prohibitions against killing, or the criticism of concentrations of wealth, as far more important than social issues emphasized by the religious right, such as opposition to active homosexuality.

We welcome ALL to their place at God’s table, just as they are. All means ALL. No exceptions. We reject all attempts to define our Faith by the two wedge issues of Gay Marriage and Abortion.

Aren't you the guy that repeatedly says things like...

If this is all part of the plan and your God has everything under control, why do you get so worked up when people don't play Christianity the way you think it should be played?

    The Christian Left welcomes me.

The Christian Right labels me an immoral deviant and wants me out of the country.

And people wonder why atheists, homosexuals and other minority groups lean left.

JB, haven't you heard? Atheists here only object when the Christian right preaches and is involved in public policy issues, not the Christian left.

About what the Christian left says about Bible believing Christians. Then they aren't quite so welcoming.

I certainly wonder why atheists on a gun forum favor the people who want to take their guns away.

BTW, I'm a minority. Unfortunately, lots of other minorities just want more free stuff, whether or not we can afford it.

Do you have long term memory issues? You ask the same question and get spanked over and over. It's become so common that I've given up on typing out a long list of reasons and just go with a link of a short list. Here it is, for you, again.

You're not a Muslim...but you started a thread about them... durrr.

What if I'm on the atheist right? Is there a website for me?

If that load of balderdash website gave a good answer to my question I wouldn't be asking it again. I take it you don't have an answer?

......on a religious issues forum. You don't believe in religion, remember?

    You can't "take sin away".
We're born with it, and we commit it every day. It's why we claim that we are not perfect.
Good work at appointing yourself in judgement of all people though.

The irony is palpable. Why do you post about Islam when you don't believe in that religion?

I believe religious jackwagons exist. And I see what problems they cause. You don't believe in Islam but you have issues with Islamists.

I doubt you will find your own demonstrable example a "good answer" but that's just too bad for you.

We can have our sins forgiven by faith in Christ's atoning work on the cross. Someone has to pay.

So now bad comprehension = irony, huh? Islam is a religion, this is a religious issues forum, and Muslims are killing and persecuting thousands of my fellow Christians, so I do have a dog in this fight. I assume you'd speak up against an organized effort to kill atheists, right?

As do atheist jackwagons, there's one in North Korea. So?

Is that why atheists fail to be convinced by Christian GTRI posts?

Some theists (believers) just can't be reached.

    "The Christian Left Welcomes You."

    No thanks.

ANYTHING associated with the "Left" has got to suck.

And I speak out against members of other religions as well when they lie to people, try to dumb down society, try to impose their ignorant rules on others and otherwise treat them badly. Thank you for explaining it to yourself. One doesn't have to be a member of a religion, or any religion, to see problems and discuss them on Religious Issues. Hopefully that will end this dumb question being asked over and over about why non believers post on here....but I doubt it.

M2, lots of your fellow unbelievers here speak very highly of them, they seem to think people like Kagan, Sotomayor, etc. are a fount of wisdom.

OK, those are reasons why I speak against atheism, but this is a RELIGIOUS issues forum.

It's just very weird, bordering on obsession. Do you do anything else all day?

Up to 26K posts, I see. Seems like only yesterday it was only 25K.
