You can't get here from there!
Among other things, they have dedicated $5 million to promote racial equality.

I sent a reply and wrote that if he really wanted to promote racial equality he would drop the cheap PR stunt and open up new Kroger stores in the burned out remnants of our inner cities.

    I don't expect to receive a reply.

    Regards,
    Happyguy :)

The pandering has gotten out of control. I should release a statement but I’m sure the majority of the “Woke” would not want to hear it.....

It helps their collective conscience to send out 'feel-good' e-mails, so they definitely wouldn't want to hear any rational thoughts on the topic. All the more reason to write it up....

Where does this money go, and how will it be used to promote racial equality? I suspect it will end up in the hands of Democrats, which will do nothing to address any real problems.

Speaking of collective, did you know that BLM advocates for collective ownership, reparations, release of all prisoners convicted of drug crimes, and defunding the police? Why would so many companies bend over forward to donate to a cause with these demands? Or, do you think they’ve looked past the veneer?

At this point, they are the only ones taking the products off the shelves...literally.

You could not say anything. Just don’t participate.

    I’d applaud them for it.

I’d only support the guy who was popped for smoking marijuana - not distributing it.

The rest of that is pure, nonsensical BS.

I suspect they support worse than what you’ve stated, too.

    Correct.
BLM is a Marxist organization that says it wants to destroy the nuclear family, among other things.
I got an email letter from the Uber CEO. I read it aloud to my wife, who is largely apolitical, and even she said, "That's the most ridiculous pandering I've ever seen."

Racial equality is code word for preferential treatment for certain people that would otherwise be deemed unqualified.

At best, it would be highly redacted. That is, it would be pretty much blacked out.

One of my credit cards sent me the same type of E mail. Thinking of cancelling the card I've had since 2001 but I know it can effect credit rating. But I froze my credit years ago so not sure if I even care.

How many of trillions of dollars have already been spent on racial equality. But for some reason nothing has changed. So throwing more money at a problem is not going to solve that problem. It’s just for the person giving the money to feel good. Feeling good does not solve problems. Then you have people like Al Sharpton and a lot of others that keep stirring the pot for personal gain. Either for money or votes or both. Until blacks finally say enough is enough, and get off of the democrat plantation, their lives are not going to change

So what will that 5 million do? What are they going to spend it on?

It's like throwing money at "climate change". It's very unspecific and doesn't say where the money is actually going, but it's good enough for PR purposes. In the end, it will end up in someone's pocket like most of these scams.

Blackmail often results in getting money, though.
