I may watch if I have nothing better to do, which I'm pretty sure I'll have something better to do, I followed that series from about 89 -07 and now it is completely different, FRANCECAR "chased" off the loyal fans and along with the depression = empty seats (watch the stands in the background this year)
I got sick of hearing over and over again:shakehead:

No prediction, too many things can happen. I like the bigger restrictor plate. Faster is better.

Did see the ARCA race earlier on Speed? That's was an exciting race. Danica Patrick was running a strong 6th when she got run up the track. That dropped her to 14th. She then took a ride into the infield but saved the car with some fancy driving. That took her back to about 20th. She worked her way back up to 5th and finished 7th trying for more. Very impressive for her first stock car race.

    The Twin 125's are Thursday.

The 99 looks very strong, but anything can happen in the 2nd segment.

I'm not a big Gordon fan, but watch out for him this year. There was an interview last year where the commentator asked him to comment on Johnson. He said something like, "He's a great teammate, but ticks me off as a competitor." And he really emphasized the word 'ticked.' Gordon hates to lose and he must be geared up this year.

I'm hoping Mark Martin finally wins the cup this year. He's won almost every other award possible, this would be the only thing missing from his career.

Exactly! They know every year Johnson wins it turns more fans away. I think it is hilarious when someone says Nascar is rigged. They try to keep Johnson from winning with the cautions. They would much rather see Jr. or Stewart win. I am a Johnson fan mainly because he doesn't whine or run his mouth when it doesn't go his way and he is just so damn good. I think he has had his piece of the pie and If Martin is good enough to dethrone him, I would welcome it.

Didn't mark martin quit a few years ago? Should have stayed retired.

Liking the new aero/restrictor plate package. Seemed fast, and the cars could move without being left behind.

Whats a wreck without a waltrip being involved?

Should've stayed retired? Are you crazy... He's still easily a top 5 driver. To answer your question though, no, he didn't quit.. He left Roush because Roush wanted 4 full time drivers, and Martin wanted to go to a Part time schedule, so he went to DEI... Then when Hendrick was looking for a 4th full time, he went back to being a full time driver, and here we are.

    NASCAR is still around?

I quit watching when they got the little queer cars with the ridiculous spoiler thing. They all look like rice burners a high school kid would drive.

Personally, I think if Martin had been Driving a Chevy for the last 10-12yrs, he'd already have a championship.

I'm really hoping this is his year.

Harvick looked strong last night, but of course the Bud Shootout is not a indicator of what will happen in the 500.

And the way things are going, Jr. better watch out. Danica P may soon take over the 88.
