Go see this movie if you like the Bourne series or spy assassin stuff in general. The critics are saying its the new James Bond.
Director Paul Greengrass filmed a good deal of it with a handheld camera near the subjects, to give it a personal you are there effect.
Excellent fighting/hand to hand combat scenes. I know none of the Bourne series are like the books but it would take four hours to put a ludlum book on screen as is.

+1. I love all the Bourne movies, and have seen "Ultimatum" 3 times so far.

All the movies are good IMO, even if they aren't anything like the books. I watched the first two before Ultimatum came out and then watched it. I have reread Identity and Supremacy since and will be rereading Ultimatum soon. I have quite a few Ludlam books along with all of Clancey's Jack Ryan series and some others.

I too have read ludlums books and a whole lot of other spy stuff. Its the only thing that keeps me sane right now.
Read shibumi by travanian one of the first assassin type novels. it may be hard to find but its still in print. (amazon) You will love it. Its a classic. Thanks for the response..."Caine is for delta and delta is for Caine"

I had never heard of Trevanian before. I found a hardback copy of Shibumi in very good condition on amazon for $4.99 shipping included so I ordered it. I see that he also wrote the Eiger Sanction. I remember watching that movie a long time ago.

I always thought the books were +100 over the movies. I hate that shaky camera thing, it doesn't make me feel like I'min the action it makes me want to vomit.

Marines don't vomit (laughs) I do like the books a lot, books are always better then the movies. The shaky camera thing or hand held I like. Now the digital Imaging is what I don't like so much. because it takes something away from film and make things seem unreal..Semper Fi
