I'm looking to add a G19 to my collection. I have a Gen 4 G23 and really like the new grip texture over my Gen 3's. I'd like to get the 19 in Gen 4, so if I have the luck of getting a newly built one with the new extractor and guide rod already put in, am I still looking for trouble or am I good to go?

You need to wait a month or two for all the new Gen 4 G19 to come out with the new ejectors.

I'd wait honestly. This whole fix thing will be over and then it will be ok to come out and finally buy one. That's what I am doing anyway.

Fix what??? My Gen 4 19 runs fine. My dept. posted the notice from Glock about the recoil spring swap and I E-mailed Glock for the new one, but honestly I have about 1500 rounds through it, and it has the 041 spring in it. I don't know if im gonna swap it out or leave it alone. I did have one stove pipe early on but its been great since.
