In a little under two weeks, I am leaving all things LE/Courts. I did ten years on the street, then got out and worked in the private sector for a non-profit. Had a blast. Then, I relocated to AZ and went back into the legal system with a juvenile court. After two years of ****ty management, I've had enough. (It is bad when you'd rather hang out with a dozen convicted juveline felons than your bosses.) I found an awesome group of people at the American Cancer Society's local office. I accepted a job with them organizing community events for fundraising and awareness. 99% of the same thing I did at the other non-profit. It is something I am good at. I will still have a place in my heart for LE. I loved my time spent out in the crappy weather getting dirty. I also learned alot about working with people. I use those skills to this very day. They are skills I will take with me into this new gig. You wont shake me from CT, but I will say that my time has come to pass the baton to someone else. Keep fighting the fight.
