That Every Man Be Armed : The Evolution of a Constitutional Right

by Stephen P. Halbrook "The right of the citizen to keep arms has roots deep in history"

This is a VERY deep book and goes into ancient history and the right to keep arms. The author goes into great detail on the evolution of the American right and how it was interpreted throughout the years. Some of the things I learned by reading this book were.

    1. The “militia” is intended to be all able bodied men to stand as defenders of the states.
    2. It was never intended to keep a standing army.
    3. The type of arms guaranteed by the 2nd amendment was to be military style arms (WOW!)
      [/list=1]

This is a great book for those who would like to get a greater knowledge of our 2nd amendment right.

Available at Amazon.com That Every Man Be Armed
