I wonder if it'll be as good as the Kevin Costner version :whistling:

Being English myself, I thought Kevin Costner's British accent was superb.

Dunno nothin about this movie, but Robin Hood not an "outlaw" but was the first Conservative rebel. Steal from a corrupt GOVERNMENT and return the money back to the original owners, the poor peasants who were forced to pay tribute to the corrupt GOVERNMENT. Was this "illegal"? Perhaps if judged by this corrupt government, but surely what they did in acquiring the "tax" money was just as illegal.

Personally, I'm looking forward to it. I shot enough archery in my youth, and have been interested in woodcraft, mythology, folklore, and military history for long enough, that I've always had a soft spot for Robin Hood stories. Toss in what looks like a stellar cast, top it off with Crowe, and have Ridley Scott heading up the whole deal?

Sounds like it'll be a winner, to me.

Or you could hold him up as a leader of an early socialist militia, taking to the woods in order to steal from and murder the servants of their lawful regional authority figures, taking gold from those he decided were "rich" and giving it to those he decided were "poor" in a classic wealth redistribution program.

It's all in the spin you want to put on it.

I hope it's not just a Gladiator redress. Still, I might check it out on the big screen.
