I'm gonna see The Avengers this weekend, so I figured I'd catch up on all the "prequel" movies. I've already seen Ironman several times, caught Ironman 2 on streaming, got the Thor Blu-Ray in on Saturday, and the Captain America Blu-Ray today (don't care about the Hulk one). The Captain America disc looked pretty rough, but I popped it in and it worked fine. Well, it worked fine through the previews. As soon as it got to the title screen and I pressed play for the feature, it froze up. Took it out, cleaned it as best I could, no joy. So no I have to get dressed, drive to the nearest Redbox, and hope they have a copy that isn't jacked all to hell. Thanks so much, Netflix.

I tell ya, first world problems up in here :crying:

Make sure you report it...probably too late now but they'll usually get a replacement out the next day.

At least they will get that disc out of circulation...well hopefully.

Some Netflix customers obviously abuse the disks. I've been with them for many years and 99% of them are fine. I have received disks that are cracked and even one that was broken in half. That may have happened in the mail.

The deep scratches I've found in a couple of disks had to be put there by customers. I've destroyed a few DVDs that had sensitive data on them and I know from experience that they don't scratch that easy.

I think putting the dvd on an asphalt road and surfing on it could make similar scratches.

This was the only one I skipped out of the movies along this line. Never got into that comic, just didn't interest me.

Looking forward to the Avengers, heard it was great from everyone who's seen it. Too much time working, haven't had the chance to see it yet.

Okay, now that i've seen the Avengers, I am interested in revisiting my decision to skip the Hulk. I thought the character was very well played, and it's kindled an interest in seeing the movie even though I did not like the comics.

As someone who writes software for Android, I feel the sting of piracy very directly.

I lash out irrationally at people who partake in that despicable behavior.

Incredible Hulk was a good comic book movie. Hulk not so much.

The Hulk is a great character in the fact that he doesn't want to be a superhero, but people won't leave him alone. It also helps that he can go toe to toe with pretty much anything. Long term though I've never liked overpowered characters as it limits the options.

I like the Hulk but don't watch it anywhere near the number of times I watch the others. It is WAAAY better than the Eric Bana/Ang Lee version. I think with the Hulk it's hard to write an interesting storyline that can appeal to both fans and the masses. Plus it probably throws some people off when he doesn't speak much as the Hulk compared to other Super Heroes.

When you understand that pirates aren't customers, you'll feel enlightened. But what does making unauthorized duplications of a given digital file have to do with the finest televisions on the face of the planet?

If it is just scratches you can often get the cd=dvd to work by cleaning it with tooth paste.

Is it out on video anywhere legally yet?

To my knowledge it isn't, so how else to get it on such a viewing portal?

1 - lol - the way bravia gets thrown around here begs a search for why... it was interesting, to say the least.

2 - The avengers isn't out on video yet - how else can you view it on a bravia without pirating a copy of it?

If you looked at 1, you'd know 2 was a joke.
