The 2002 Keystone State Ballistic Challenge VI is in the record books as an unqualified success!! Although final figures are not yet available from Scott and Bruce, the scoresheets numbered in the high 330's by days end with only a dozen or so pre-registered no-shows to subtract. Any way you look at it, we SMASHED our 2000 attendance record of 271. I must thank all those who showed up to set up the match, run the 3 set-ups of each course of fire Saturday and Sunday, and all whop helped with match tear-down. The roll call of workers (in no particular order) is: Tina Miller, Mark Leary, Matthew Fox, Buddy Pittman, Mark Stabryla, Ed Adams, Rod Maile, Noah Gladstone, Jeremy Bruce, Rich Radel, Frank Koo, Nathan Thomas, Ted Murphy, Melissa Kreutz, Ken & Kim Jankowitz, Bob Ariyamitr, Doug Fenical, Cindy Garis, Rich Gunther, George Smit, Roger & Wendy Staniford, Dave Marques, Jim Norman, Mike Dolan, Steve Bani, Cliff Seewagen, Larry Eckert, Bill Hearne, John Lapic, and Gary Bertolet. I decided to take GSSF up on the option to forfeit entry fees paid to the club to gain 2 more pistol certificates to award to the Match Staff, so we were able to award 3 Glocks on Sunday instead of the usual one. Melissa Kreutz, Ed Adams and Mark Leary were the lucky helpers. Congratulations to all three!! We expect to see you back next year competing with those new Glocks! Thanks again to all the Match Staff for making it possible, and to all you shooters who helped us eclipse our previous attendance record. Scott will be busy recalculating our maximum match capacity for next year after 2002 ran so smoothly. I took some photos during the match, but regret I was unable to get pictures of all the Match Staff. On behalf of Topton Action & Practical Shooters, I look forward to seeing you all back in 2003!
