    Hey,

I'm getting a little confused here. Is the texture the same between the RTF models and the Gen 4 models? The RTF looks to have finer texturing on the sides of the frame while the Gen 4 has a bigger texturing.

    Thanks

    Think of it this way,......
The RTF2 has many small pointed pyramids.
The Gen 4 has less pyramids, but they are larger & the tops are flat

    Thank you.

Is one less abrasive than the other?

    What he said.

You really can't grasp it until you hold them (no pun intended). See if you can find a local shop that has them and feel for yourself. Pictures just don't tell the story.

Hawkman is correct, as usual...the RTF2 Texture is much more "Aggressive", or more SHARP-Feeling than the RTF Texture on the Gen4 guns...FWIW, I kinda' like the RTF2 Texture BETTER, but I can see that if you carried the gun next to your SKIN, it might be a lil' MUCH...HTH....mikey357

I totally disagree and I have both, I think the RTF3 texture is much more cheese grater feel, and the RTF2 is smoother. I like the look of the RTF2, but the RTF3 is pretty rough..

    Thanks alot guys.

I'll call around tomorrow and see if I can find one locally but, I highly doubt i'll find one. I'm really thinking about going with the RTF. I do plan on carrying it so if it's a bit ruff on my inner shirt maybe I could take a little sandpaper and remove the outer tips of the spikes/texture.

I think the RTF2 has 4 times as many polymids as the Gen.4 in each row on the receiver and the Gen.4 polymids are roughly 4 times as large as the ones on the RTF receiver.
