Not much mention of this in the MSM. This is put out by a group known as the South Texas Sheepdogs:
"According to the FBI, the incredible acts of heroism by the NASCC Military Police guarding entrance to the base, saved many lives. The active duty U.S. Navy military police woman at the Ocean Drive gate has probably checked thousands of IDs and allowed access to thousands of authorized people at NAS Corpus Christi.

But Thursday morning, at barely the first light of day, a terrorist tried to get past her. That terrorist, Adam Salem Alsahli (a Syrian born U.S. citizen), picked the wrong gate guard to try to get past. He must’ve thought that all he would have to do is lift the pistol off of his lap, point it at the gate guard (while she looked him in the face) shoot her point blank in the chest and then be able to drive on to the base and use his assault rifle and shotgun to kill as many people as he could.

    Wrong move **** bird.

She took the bullet dead center in her chest, but that happens to be the area of the bullet resistant Kevlar vest, which has a steel, ceramic-coated plate over center mass to protect the heart and vital organs.

Yes, no doubt the impact knocked her down to the floor, but she got right back up and hit the emergency button that activated a very strong pop up barricade, which stopped and disabled the terrorist’s vehicle. Then, as he was getting his assault rifle out of his car, she shot him to death.

He was connected to Jihadists groups in the Middle East and may have acted yesterday, in response to the FBI’s announcement on Monday in regard to the terrorist attack back some months ago at NAS Pensacola, which like NASCC, is a major training base for military pilots.

FBI credits the NAS MP, who stopped the Terrorist from mass murder on Naval Air Station CC.

We are proud of you Sheepdog, get some well deserved rest."

Good on her... I really hate when they publicize hits to a ballistic vest. If it were up to me, that would never be printed. All it will do is make future terrorists change up their tactics.

Wait.... Is the officer going to be in trouble for arranging his meeting with Allah, given that religious activities are deemed non essential and suspended during the Coronavirus lock down?

I hope that he does not. See my rationale below.

The Officer has some level of anonymity now. If she attends a ceremony, no matter how well earned and it was a very heroic act, it will be televised and she will be targeted by both political opponents of the President and an enemy of the US, AQ.

She deserves a medal, but do it quietly at the White House without the media circus.

Yes, when former Navy Seal Robert J. O'Neill started touring and wrote a book (which violated all kinds of OPSEC rules) it put both him and his family in danger. I hope she is recognized by her branch and receives the commendations she deserves.
She did her job and did it well and I am glad she is well.

We don't hear about this kind of bravery from the Main Stream Media (cough leftist, communists media). And it's a shame. Heros like her should get high praise. And most are modest.

I know this is SOP but if we took this stuff seriously the barricade would be up unless somebody explicitly pressed the button to open it. This get shot then press button to stop bad guy is a really bad plan. How many people get to survive the get shot part? I can think of many ways to incapacitate/distract the guard that would let me in. It needs to be a positive entrance approval process not a negative approval process. I know that would probably take too long and then they could just target the queue itself outside the gate so maybe there is no good solution.
