Just thought some of you might like to know the Tennessee Highway Patrol has began swaping from something other than S&W. The uniform division are getting 31's and the investigative branch are using 33's. They have had S&W .40 Sigmas. This is the first time the whole Department has carried anything other than S&W and a few Colt's since its start in 1929.

    Cool. I hadn't heard that.
I love my 31. Any word on what load they have chosen?

Wish I could get OSP to change from .40 to .357 Sigs.;g

Just a barrel change; leather would still work.

Did the investigative branch go with the 33 because they thought it was easier to conceal or they don't shoot that much? I found the sub compacts very difficult to handle because of the shortness of the grip. A local county sheriff's department has been with the .357Glocks for about 4 years now!! Glad to see others get on board.

The CID division is getting 33's because of the common practice of someone in HQ making the choice not the actual agents that have to carry and shoot them.
