    Like the title says.

I'm really liking the idea of a ruger lcp for a small ccw pistol. I have shot one at the range and liked it.
My G19(that I love BTW) prints a bit to much in just a tee shirt but I'm still trying holsters out. But thats a different thread......

I think the lcp would be nice for summer shorts carry in a cargo pocket or jacket pocket in the winter for quick trips or days i just want something smaller.

Any real reason i should pass on one?
    Thanks

Buy it, you stated that you shot one and liked it... it's a nice back up handgun or primary if you want to carry it...

+1, if you have shot one and like it I would say go for it.

If you are looking for reasons not to buy it, I would say that it feels like crap in the hand and a small j-frame like a S&W 442 feels much more comfortable. This is my opinion.

The most important reason is because I don't have one yet. (And I've already bought enough other guns this year, according to my wife). I'll probably have to wait until next year before she allows me to buy another gun.

I have one I bought 2 months ago and I'm selling it. Never been fired. You know why? Because I can't ammo to go out and fire it! Should have did my research on 380 ammo availability before I bought it.

It's a great gun for summer carry. I picked up ammo for mine the other day at the gun shop they had all the ammo i wanted. The trigger pull is long because that's part of the safety.i've got a crossbreed holster for i.w. B. Carry &a nemisis for pocket carry hope this helps

No good reason not to try it, I found that I much prefer a snub revolver for those purposes, though.

    It's a good gun, I have had 4. And sold 4.
I prefer the Keltec P3at for the trigger and it's a bit easier to shoot than
    the LCP.
The LCP is a "melted" Keltec bottom line, with a longer trigger.
It Looks great, but tends to move around when shooting more than
    the rough Keltec.
My two cents, if you want a pocket 380 get the Keltec.

Bill Ruger sold out the gun community for his own gain? Of course if that's not enough it's a rip off of the Keltec and has breakage issues while the Keltec doesn't.

I wouldn't sell it. You'll find ammo eventually.

I was in the same boat as you. There is no reason not to get it. I love it, throw it in my pocket in an uncle mikes size 1, extra mag in another pocket and I'm good to go.

Contrary to what the above poster said, I would go with the ruger over the keltec, the fit and finish is night and day on them.

I put wolff springs 13lb p3at recoil spring kit on it, and keep it loaded with golden sabers.

It is not fun to shoot however, and I just run ammo through it to make sure it is working correctly, and for my own practice.

The G19 on the other hand, I love shooting that.
