Nice guns...shoot well. Magazines are a little pricey, but these guns are nice reliable shooters...

    Bersa makes cheap handguns.

You get what you pay for.

Sometimes the trigger spring falls out of place. You need to remove the grips, and put the spring back in place...

I would never buy one, the choice is yours...

Just to add, I've never owned one. I work at a public range and have seen FAR to many with this issue...

I asked the local gun shop owner what he liked for cc and he told me he loves his bersa 380. It's a lot like a ppk.

I have yet to shoot one but it felt good in my hands. Seems like a cool gun for cheap. Obviously you get what you pay for.

Bersa's are Junk. You get what you pay for.

Spend a little more and get quality.

I've owned too many Bersa's to count... NEVER one problem with any.

    Fantastic, heavily underated handguns.

    Bersas are not junk.

By the way, instead of buying those Magnum Research SA revolvers in your sig line, why not spend a little more and get REAL quality, like a Freedom Arms? :dunno:

The BFR can't hold a candle to them.

    $399?

I paid for an all chrome 'Thunder' $238, tax included. Granted it was 'used', but zero wear.

The Bersa is a good .380. Quite reliable and accurate. Good DA and SA trigger to.

    But 400 bucks? No.

$400 for an economy class firearm? I don't think so, I believe OMB has a sale going right now for S&W MP's at $400, and even without a sale going a glock, beretta, or S&W goes for around $500. Could probably get a ruger for $400, so why settle?

$400 seems like a lot for a second tier firearm. With all the used guns around, why not go for a Beretta a Walther, a Glock. These are all quality firearms and you can find them in the same price range used. When a bunch of people starts reporting problems, when somebody working at a public range tells you 'no way', it's probably best to look elsewhere.

Im not saying that you cant get a good gun for a good price every now and t hen but the Bersa appears to be just cheaply made. At least the ones I have seen. If I was going to spend below $400 for a handgun, it would probably be a revolver.

I own two Bersa's. A 9mm Compact and a 380 Compact. I have had absoultely ZERO problems with either of them. The 9mm is my primary carry weapon when not in dress clothes.

Bersa's get a bad rap since they do not cost $600+. Yes, you can get a quality gun at a good price. Go to www.Bersatalk.com.
