    Certified occupational tech assistants.


    Lady in the nursing home is a regular occupational therapist.She clears 100k a year.She says theres a demand for occupational assistants and the pay is around 40k.

    So tell me what they do and what you know bout them.

    COTA's implement the care plans designed by an OT. Care plans depend on the setting. Settings include mental health, pedi developmental assessment and rehab, pedi ICU, home care assessments, stroke rehab, work rehab, etc.. These settings can be in a hospital, a rehabilitation center, private office, or traveling to patients homes.

    COTA training is usually a two-year junior college degree. Need varies from region to region, but the COTA's I've met seem to get jobs pretty easily here in TX.
