    Hello,

I want to purchace a telephoto lens for my Fuji S5200 but I want to make sure I understand what I'm reading here...

If the optical zoom on my camera is 10x, does the above statement mean it will be 30x with their lens?

    Thank you.

Your looking at a converter, not a real tele lens.

Yes, it will magnify your image by 3x, while it cuts your light by 2/3.

I don't know this model, so maybe it works, but in the old analog film days, we would avoid those things as thier use is very limited.

What minuteman said. It is a converter and might work OK for you, but it will definitely reduce the amount of light entering the lens quite a bit.
