So some idiots using an automated message just called my cell phone claiming my ATM card is compromised, blah blah blah.

Of course, I'm not even a member of the bank they're claiming to be calling from.

Is it worth passing the phone # from caller ID to the local coppers, or am I just wasting their time generating more paperwork?

For the curious (and google's sake), the phone # was 832-813-0100

ETA: apparently the scumbags are spoofing the caller ID of the above # (which technically isn't hard to do)........

    Do it.

Some elderly person or someone who isn't paying attention will fall for it and be out a lot of money.

Stop it while the scam is young.
