It's not a bad looken pistol, I may have to try one out after a year or so.

If priced right, and reliable as most G2's I may get one to put in the safe at the hunting shack.

I don't think it's an anything "killer". It is what it 8s. Why is everything compared to Glock. They are the new age hi point without any innovation if you listen to tjw Bubba's.
It might be a decent addition.

Good policy to wait a year on any pistol. If it’s like the G2, it will be just fine.

Yes Sir, I waited and waited on the G48 and glad I did. Soon as the black ones came out I got a helluva deal on a used but never shot G48 just cause the fellow wanted a black G48.

I he bought 2 two tone G48's one to carry and a back up about 2 or 3 month's ago. I bought his back up that had been sitting in his safe getting absolutely no love. Well she got loved on well hear. :D

Not southpaw friendly. Again. Having a one sided safety, mounted on the wrong side for me takes them out of consideration completely. There are too many choices that have thought about us lefties.

I know lots of folks like them and many work just fine, but I’m still not buying a Taurus.

    Woohoo!

Another can opener to put in the drawer!

What we as individuals feel about these specific models is irrelevant--- adding more consumer choices will affect all in supply market. Prices will drop.

Can you say thumb safety and 2nd strike-- for under $250 new! Yeah baby!

Lookout BerettaAPX, IWI, Ruger, Walther, Canik, CZ, and XD! The BULL has just knocked you all over.

The safety really isn't that handy and I never use mine on the G2. I'd rather they drop it entirely and issue a "pro" model with that and a few tweaks.

    Oh, goodie

Let's rehash the whole tired Taurus thing again.

24 pages on the other Taurus thread isn't enough?

The G2c is the same size as a G26 but it's a lot cheaper which is great if that's all that matters to you.

But it has a funky trigger and a dumbass thumb safety and would be a better gun if they made a "Pro" version without the safety.

    Same goes for this gun.

Looked at one Friday at NRA show in Ft Worth, it was about what I expected except for the trigger which would rate close to the top as the worst ever pulled, when we had our store the question from a customer I hated the worse was "need a protection pistol how cheap are they?" That started it all down hill from then. I followed usually as what $$ value do you place on your life and loved ones lives? Some brands we would not even stock, order or trade for.

Well, if folks not interested in the G3, or Taurus in general would stay out of the thread, and allow it to be a conversation among those that do have an interest, it would flow a lot smoother and probably not go as long. Not a unreasonable request.

I really appreciate manufacturers that offer choices. For my use, I'd also like a "pro" option. I'd even potentially be interested in an ambi-safety version. Taurus seems to want to keep it simple and offer one setup. I assume they've run the numbers and believe it works best for them.

I find it hard to get excited about a Taurus. 2nd strike is dumb and useless if you actually train and a manual safety is unessessary with that funky trigger that breaks as far back as humanly possible.

I never thought so, but it seems to be the yardstick that everything is measured by. I really thought it was the G17, but close enough.
I love the "I'm so incompetent that I cant operate a safety" crowd. The type of striker system that Glock uses doesn't really need one, but if offered, I jump all over it, and,,,,, we aren't really talking about a Glock here, are we.
