That's all Freedom Group needs is Taurus as an owner to finish them off. Somebody PLEASE have some common sense in the gun world. Wow.

And a firearm that they can't repair,so they offer to swap it out for another one of their so called products. Think the Failed Thunderbolt rifle. SJ 40

    Defend what?

A gun manufacture taking over other makers who have already jumped the shark, or would you rather they fell back into another investmet group like Cerberus?

Defend Taurus as a quality firearms producer. Nothing more, nothing less.

I'd say overall that they are a quality firearms producer. I think they are a tier below S&W and some other domestic makers, but they generally put out a quality product for their price point.
I say that as someone who has owned several (7) over the years, frequently shoots (every weekend, approx 10K rnds a year) and knows my way around the mechanicals of my firearms.
I'd rather see Taurus take over the Freedom group than see the makers fail, or be embalmed by another investment group like Cerberus or Tompkins (former S&W owners).

I like their revolvers enough to have bought five of them in the last 5 months. One I broke, being negligent. My fault. I sent it back to them and they fixed it no charge, no questions asked.

Respectfully, I don't agree about them being a quality outfit. I've seen enough that I wouldn't own another if it were given to me. I know people have good fortune with them but that just isn't my experience.

Having said that, I hope someone else gets in the mix. I would hate to know Taurus was going to influence future production quality. Someone else will rise to the occasion. Freedom Group won't just disappear. Too much money to be made.

We have six of their firearms and are quite pleased, and we shoot a lot. Nothing broken nothing malfunctioning. Sorry if that doesn't meet with approval It's just first hand experience.

When I was a teenager "everybody knew an M-1 carbine could barely keep a 6" group at 100 yds"

Everybody knew in the 1970s that the Ruger Security Six was just another cheap gun for folks who couldn't afford a S&W or Colt:upeyes:

How many people have said that "The Highpoint carbines are worthless"

    Yup

This is the .40 cal we have. Our two 9mms are just as accurate and they have thousands of rounds through them with no failures.

So, that is likely to scratch AAC off my list of suppressor options. A shame, too, since I still had my eye on an SR-7...
