What is a good .38 special personal defense round for my wife to carry in her new ccw. She feels more comfortable shooting the .38 special but does a good defense round have to be +p? My reason for asking is the guy at the LGS said even though this .357 can handle a +p .38 round it is not rated for it therefore could void warranty and cause legal issues in a shooting. Any insight would be appreciated.
Someone claiming a .357 Magnum revolver isn't rated for .38 Special sounds like a load of hogwash. I don't know of any reason why you can't shoot .38+P out of ANY .357 Magnum revolver, nor can I see what liability or warranty issues would result
