Cmon GT, don't fail me now. I could use a good 5 page heated thread to follow along and respond to. I'm laying here getting my leg done and bored silly. Post urs up, funny ones, tell me I'm white trash, etc. Help me keep my mind off these needles. :whistling:

Just google "tacky tatoos" and you should get plenty of entertainment. I have 4 tatoos myself but I only regret two of them.

I consider Tattoos to be an art form. As with any art form, there is good art and there is trash. Unfortunately the distinction between the two is a personal opinion.

I have seen some of the most beautiful women ever, with the most tasteful erotic tattoos. I lean to vines, flower and cherry blossom, art on women. I also like some of the oriental figures but, again, I am very opinionated about the figure, it must fit to the body and the taste of the artist and subject.

I think the worst junk is homemade, prison, and just indiscriminate figures with no rhyme or reason with respect to placement and content.

There you go. I have no tattoos, my wife and couple of daughters have very small simple tattoos (I believe represent some sort of rebellion against authority, but not too much).

As I said, tattoo art, as music, is in the eyes of the beholder, I would like to beholdin some of the beautiful women sporting tasteful artwork.

I've been on the table for 3.5hrs so far. I'll be damned if the most painful part isn't him running the towel across my leg!!

I've got four, I like all of them, and have a Honey Badger attitude toward people who don't.

    Oh...and...

Personally I pity anyone who is so starved for attention/affection/approval that they will mutilate their body to get it.

8 hours over two sessions. Modeled off of my wife.

Its tattoo 1 of what will at this point end up a 3 (if not 4) frame series on the same theme. The others will involve engine cowling and more components to make up the whole illusion of an old Warbird (modeled on a Corsair and an A-26 Invader).

 Dude. Sorry, but that is seriously messed up. People are hard to ink well and that gun monkey does not have the skill to pull it off. Her calf is bigger than her thigh, boobs are bubared, and her face is... well, just not right. Good concept, but save up some and go more than a mile off base to find your next inker.

It is exactly the same thing: mar (mär)
tr.v. marred, mar·ring, mars 1. To inflict damage, especially disfiguring damage, on.
    2. To impair the soundness, perfection, or integrity of; spoil.

    n.A disfiguring mark; a blemish.

I've been fighting the urge to get another one. Few months back I was working with a lot of people 10 years or so younger than myself and they were just covered with them.

Started getting the urges. I do have 2 more that I want done but it can wait. I hope.

I'm slowly working on a half sleeve. I get a little more done every few months when my next idea hits me and I dwell on it for a month or two. I'm also wanting to get some work done on the back of my leg, I'm still mulling it over.

My funny story for getting ink is I went to get a shamrock on each side of my chest when I was in the Army. I was slammed drunk. I woke up in the morning and the color looked good, they were shaded well... but I had the artist put one about an eighth of an inch lower than the other. You wouldn't notice it until I mention it and I didn't notice it for a couple of weeks.

I think I am up to ten or twelve now.
