I am thinking that I want one. In fact, I will probably go get one in the morning. I don't need it. Plus I hated the 43x I had. Please some one use the voice of reason and save me about $500 after taxes. Telling me problems you have works best. Please help.

Sorry, mine works great and I love it. For me, it points very naturally. Most of my shooting is done fast and without using the sights, and this one is a real winner (for me) in that regard. Best of luck with not buying one! ;)

    Ok. I’ll bite.

When they first came out, saw no need for it. Had a 43 and a 19. I was good.

Then a buddy at work brought one in for training one day. Felt great in the hand. Shot well. Then the next day they announced the black ones. Bought one. Was super excited.

It’s a great gun. Fits me well. But it’s just a 43X with longer slide. If you hated 43X, this won’t be much better. I honestly like the way it feels better with the 43 slide on the 48 frame. But that’s just personal preference.

I haven’t carried mine as much as I thought I would. It’s thinner than the 19, so ticks easier into the pants. But it doesn’t conceal much better than the 19. I find myself going to the 19 or the J Frame just as often now even though I have the 48.

    I’m about to get a G48 myself.
As you can see I have everything I need except the 48 it’s self. I bought everything in reverse order to prevent me from changing my mind. Now I just need to save up the money. Good thing I have a blue label coupon from GSSF.

If you can't stand the 43, the 48 might not be for you. Depends on why you hated the 43. I have both, and I think the 48 will become my winter carry gun.

Yea man if you didn’t like the 43x there is no sense in buying a 48. I mean they are basically the same gun, just one has a longer slide. Go buy a 45 or 19x or 19 mos or 10mm or a .45 or something if you must buy a new gun.

Before you buy the G48 (which would not be a bad thing) take a look at the G45. I REALLY like the feel of mine. If you have somewhat larger hands it may fit you better.

Now that they're available with a black slide I kind of like them but I like the 43x better.

I would have liked the G48 better if they had made it exactly like a G19 but single stack. That would mean Glock would have had to have made two molds for the frames, one for the G43x and one for the G45 with a full length dust cover and a light/laser rail which is what it doesn't have, which is a reason not to get one.

I like the single stacks for carrying concealed IWB. B ut maybe that's not what you want if for especially if you had a G43x an didn't like it. Maybe you want a bigger gun like a G45.

How much time did you spend with the 43x before you got rid of it? I will say when I bought my first 48 it was out of curiosity, first couple of range trips I was not sure about it, I didn't shoot it as well as my 45. Range session 3 and 4 I started liking it more, also found that it carried better for me than my 26.

I have been shooting my two 48's exclusively for the past couple of months. I do as well with them as I did the double stack Glocks that I had, just took a little time to adjust.
