Pinapanuod ko mga vids nyo kaya ko lang naalala, tingnan nyo nalang kung makatulong
When I was shooting ipsc , di naman ako marunong pumutok hehe mabilis lang ako tumakbo
When I switched to triathlon , puro long distnce running na ginawa ko
When I tried ipsc again , akala ko mas mabilis lalo ako
Instead , naging kenkoy yung sprint ko , pinagtatawanan ako ng barkada ko
Ang bagal ko ngayon tumakbo
So after manuod ng vids ko nuon at ngayon , alam ko na problema
To run faster -
-Let your center of gravity fall towards the direction na pupunta ka, para kang natutumba na may control. You can still run fast kahit madulas
-dont let your heels touch the ground pag accelerating at pag full sprint
- instead of raising your knees ,dapat yung heels mo dapat tataas papunta sa pwet

BTW, mas smooth ang start at stop kung mas lower ang center of gravity ( bent knees ) at relaxed

Ang pag practice ng sprint style na yan , mabagal lang
Kung baga slow motion dryfire muna
Pag humataw ka kaagad you might pull a hamstring o magka problema tuhod nyo , magkita pa tayo sa MRI clinic hehe

good thing you guys brought this up. i think this is consistent with fore/mid foot striking in lieu of heel striking. but hirap pa ako to practice this. its so tempting to do the running ive always been used to and forget the technique. ive had on-off group training with jojo (macalintal?) tri coach daw siya.

so what races are you guys joining? in the past 3 months, ive joined two 5K races and two 10K races. my farthest practice runs are 21K and 23K palang, i know others even do 35K...

im signed up already for "robinsons fit and fun" and for "globe/ayala land run for home"

from april 01 to june 29, ive lost 30lbs and 6inches :) but im still overweight :(

good thing i saw a takbo forum recently. i found out the hard way the importance of vaseline! (buti may extra pa ako from the time i was in prison) - oh, baka seryosohin ng mga iba diyan... joke lang po

pag solo ako, up to 8k lang ako. pero kung group, kaya ang 23k.

ano pa tips to prevent injuries sa knees and feet?

Kuya P, may mga nag invite din sakin to join sa highstreet...kaya lang if i join ako lang beginner...kaya nahihiya ako eh.

hwag kang mahiya, hindi naman nangiiwan pag group eh. just ask them beforehand kung easy pace lang or Long Slow Distance running.

yun nanga sinasabi ni Fat dati pa, ayaw maniwala ang mga iba eh. sige, kakain na ako ng sisig everyday :) :)

vaseline petroleum jelly is for the crotch area, feet, and nipples to prevent chaffing and super soar nipples :wow: kasi naman, nung bago palang ako, walang nag bigay ng tips, puro cotoon shirts ang gamit ko . . . ayun . . .

wow that's great! you deserve a 1 kg. steak dinner!!!!:supergrin:

get a good pair of shoes.stretch AFTER your run(coz muscles are more strecthable when warm than cold).don't overtrain.or maybe go to the runnr store in fort to check on your running form to see if it is correct.eat well and rest well to prevent ANY injuries.and forget about that sisig.:tongueout:
may running store din sa diliman - second wind running store. they also have gait analysis using treadmill and video cam. pang neutral shoes daw ako. but running style is a different story.

sumobra treadmill ko kahapon, now im limping.

how can i stay away from sisig, punta akong pampanga this weekend :)

i went through bad diet naman :)

ok ang botak support ha. galing! :thumbsup: and training ni luis really paid off!
Parang naging weight loss thread to a hehe
Ako advice ko lang is to stop looking at the weighing scale
Baka madiscourage lang kayo
Just enjoy running , at tumakbo ng tumakbo but stick w/ a program
Kahit sa pagpapayat it's still 90% mental :)
