Tablet PC manufacturers?

    A client gave me a tablet PC to work on, made by www.motioncomputing.com - it's a full-on computer with a pen interface running WinXP Tablet edition.

    Do you know of any other manufacturers that make those things and might be more reasonably priced?

    They are open to replacing what they've got but I'm not sure if they realize that new models start at $2k, according to that site...:wow:

    They are spendy, as they never really caught on. Now they're just a "nitch" box with low sales, thus the high premium.

    I'd like one over my Netbook, but ain't paying the $$$!

    my brother has one by a company named Viliv, it's pretty interesting. I got to play with it a lot last time he was in town for a few days.

    has windows 7, gps and usb ports, SDHC slot, and an SSD drive. the boot time is incredibly quick and it's really quite good on battery life, considering it's running a full OS.
