In the old version of Firefox that I had, there was a close box on the far right side of the tabs. It closed the open tab. In 2.0, I don't see that as an option, and I have to look at the tabs to see which is the current one, and I always seem to close the right-most tab. Anyone know of an extension or add-on to easily close the open tab?

Tools->Options->Tabbed Browsing->Display Options. At the bottom, :Show tab closure button->select on the strip.

    I don't like it either.

You may want to try Tab Mix Plus as well. It allows you to have both on-tab and tab bar close buttons and even more. You can get it here. It's incompatible with Tabbrowser Preferences so you'll have to disable one to use the other.

Ctrl-W works even faster. But it annoyed me too. Thanks for the info.
