    SERIOUSLY PEOPLE?!

    I went to my CHL class and qualification today..when it was my groups turn up, a lady who was there for her CHL as well who didn't own a gun, had never fired a gun, and didn't even buy the required amount to qualify with and ended up using someone's extras.. already p*ssed at this point! :steamed:

    The first thing they say when you sign up for this class, you will need to bring 50 rounds of 9mm ammo if you intend to use our loaner guns for qualification, we are NOT here to teach you how to use the firearm, only to test your proficiency! They REPEAT this at the beginning of the class and ask if EVERYBODY has the required ammo, everyone says yes... class moves on as normal.

    We get through the mind and butt numbing entire class, and head off to the range... group gets up, they give the women her qualification firearm...doesn't know how to load it, #$%#$% seriously?!, instructor shows her how to load and chamber the round, random rounds go EVERYWHERE... I ended up having 4 EXTRA holes in my target that were DEFINITELY not mine as I shoot .45 ACP ONLY! Oh and they didn't come CLOSE to the silhouette... so forgetting all of this, TWICE I was swept with a loaded and chambered firearm and all the while I'm wondering WHY she's even being allowed to hold the weapon at this point! She finally STOPPED doing that after I yelled at her and got the range master over there to reinforce what I was saying.

    Needless to say they FAILED her *** horribly (and rightfully so) and insisted that she go take a safety and handling / practice course before she come back..

    WHEN WILL PEOPLE LEARN?!?!?!?!?!?! :steamed::steamed::steamed::steamed:

    1) i've never seen a class that would allow somebody in it that didn't read and follow every rule and regulation to the letter.

    2) if she was so obviously inept with a firearm i highly doubt she would have been left unattended on a hot firing line with a live weapon.

    3) every class i've seen or been around has been run by professionals that can spot a new shooter or "noob" from a mile a away and they usually single them out off to the side and assign an instructor to that person to work 1 on 1.

    4) YOU should have spoken up and talked to a range master or instructor as soon as the first stray round crossed lanes and hit your target.

    I don't know how you were swept TWICE!

    I had a somewhat similar incident during my CCW class, where there was someone who did not know how to use a firearm very well at all.

    And another during a tactical rifle course where an older guy was extremely unsafe. I have no idea why he was even allowed to do the course...I caught a couple rounds of .308 brass (even though it was a 5.56 centered course..) in the face/mouth doing drills.:steamed:

    Give her 2 opportunities? What am I supposed to do beat her ***? You know they talk about resolving the situation without violence in these classes... didn't you pay attention?!

    Saw this at Front Sight in LV, NV. Why people do not come prepared and follow directions, I have no idea.

    He didn't give her anything. He was in the wrong place at the wrong time, through no fault of his own. You've read the same news stories at us. The situation could have easily ended in someone's death.
