OK, cigar smokers. A fellow GT'er, DBG19, and myself, would like to see if there may be any interest in a cigar swapping thread. It starts here and will continue through GT thread posts and Private Messages. For instance, DBG19 and I "met" through a thread he started. He wanted some ideas and opinions about cigars. I answered and offered to send him an Arturo Fuente Curly Head Natural for him to try. I sent it, he enjoyed it and now he is sending me a Perdomo Slow Aged Lot 826 Glorioso!

He PM'ed me and asked if there were any threads that offered cigar trades and I didn't know of any. So, here we go! DBG19 is a relatively new cigar smoker and I enjoy medium cigars. I will offer one of my cheap and tasty AF Curly Heads to anyone who has something to trade. I have plenty of other sticks to offer but since we have to start somewhere, this is my beginning trade offer. I will mail the cigar in a padded envelope at no charge to the other person.

If this is any type of violation of the TOS, I apologize in advance and will learn a lesson. However, this is just a fun idea to swap a stick to another person who may want to try a cigar without much expense. Perhaps it should be in The Want Ads, but I'll let a mod tell us what to do.

So, what do you have to trade for a AF Curly Head wrapped in a natural wrapper? It's about 7 inches and about a 42 ring gauge and a medium smoke. They go for about $2.50 retail but don't let that fool you. I prefer a Padron 1964 Anniversary in exchange, but I'll consider other offers!

    Hope this works! :wavey:

Thanks for getting this started Marc1956
Since Marc1956 and I did the initial swap, I would like to offer up a 2 Cigar Bundle consisting of 1 Perdomo Slow Aged 826 Glorioso (Connecticut wrapper w/Nicaraguan filler, 6 x52) and 1 Perdomo Fresco Maduro Rousto. Retail for the 2 together is about $5. I'd like to try something Mild to Medium. Let me know if you're interested.

Great idea guys. I'll have to wait until later to play because I dont have too many mild or mediums. That, and my humidor is 150 miles away right now.

Sounds good, I'll offer up one of these

What better to offer up on Glock Talk than the official cigar of the NRA:cool:

It is on the medium side with a good bit of spice. Any takers, just let me know. I would trade for anything mild to well, no limits.

Sure hope this thread stays alive because I'm looking forward to sharing some sticks! For your consideration, I am offering either an Arturo Fuente Curly Head Natural (6.5 inches, 43 gauge, $2.50) which is a mild/medium smoke or a Rocky Patel Rosado Robusto (5.5 inches, 50 gauge $5.75) which is a medium cigar. If you want to try both, I just need something in exchange! If I don't hear anything in a reasonable time, I'm going to reach out to ravenkeeper98 for his Rocky Patel Valedor! After all, I am an NRA Endowment Member! :wavey:

As long as the humidity was only around 70-75% should not be hard with a torch lighter

Just as a side not to prevent any ill feelings, I think there should be no "blind" swaps. I have seen a few of those go bad before when someone gets feelings hurt about they think they got ripped off on the price of The swapped sticks.

I heard that those Arkansas Bubba cigars were not very good.
Comes in a short 3 inch 60 ring Robusto, commonly called an
    Arkansas Nub.

I like this thread, let me see what I have in the Humi to offer.

Guys, I'm locking this for now because I don't think it's a good idea but I'm going to have Eric take a look and see if he wants to allow it.

There's always one person in the exchange that wants to participate who takes the swap then doesn't send their part. You wind up with at least one person upset and being taken advantage of...

Also, there is the issue of determining every one who wants to participate is of legal smoking age...

Guys, I got the go ahead from Eric so I'm opening this back up. Just remember, you are swapping at your own risk. I hope nobody gets burned. Have fun! :wavey:

Now THAT is fast service! Thank you, MrsKitty! Hopefully the only thing getting burned here is some tasty tobacco! Tell Eric, "Thanks". Sure hope he is doing well.

Let the trading continue. And, play fair.
