Anyone making a good lever action in .500?

Bighorn Armory out of WY makes them. Absolutely gorgeous rifles. It'll cost you a bit more than a new Marlin, though.

I prefer the 460 Magnum to the 500. More blast, but much less flip and more bullet speed. 45 Colts feel like shooting a cap gun. 454 Casulls aren't even that bad out of an 8" X-frame.

Found it. $2500? Could be worse. Not nearly as bad as a new M-14.

You mean one of the Fulton M14s? Lol. Yeah those are really high.

Yes, as stated above it’s expensive. Out of a long barrel and with the right charge, you’re talking ballistics approaching a 458 Winchester Magnum rifle, but with a larger bullet.

It’s a nasty round.

That is the rifle I would take to an African hunt.
