Just fished the Susquehanna for the first time today. All I can say is "WOW" !! In an hour and 15 mins we must have caught 50-60 smallmouth bass, rock bass and sunfish. All on tube jigs on 6lb test.
What a blast! Had 5 doubles (partner and I both having fish on the line).
Only a few were over 1-2lb but darn that was alot of fun. Since we were wading and it cooled off today (finally) we headed to a local diner and had hot chocolate, chili and burgers & fries! Had to warm up somehow.
Great day and I'm liking PA more and more every day!

Fish near the R30 bridge or should I say under it and you will pick up smallies around 2 lbs each and through a Huss lure in 1/4 once in any color.

It so sad for me.....I live 2 minutes from the river and I haven't fished it in a couple of years. I live in Luzerne County, but when I did fish it I never got skunked. Lots of fish in there, it a very underated fishery........especially up north.
