So im about sick of freaking ear plugs and not being able to hear other people at the range. If it matters im at a outdoor range, shooting rifle and pistol rounds. What are yalls experience with these products? pros and cons to each?

Thanks!:wavey:

I use surefires at work, and have no problem hearing my co-workers talking to me.

I do not particularly enjoy using electronic ear pro as I've found it cumbersome and interferes with my cheek weld. That said, I have a set of Radian Sordin Pro neckbands that I've used, and they're ok. Quieter than SureFire plugs, but more cumbersome.

Surefires do work, i've worked around jet aircraft with them, and ran a 5,000 round machine gun qualification in a semi-indoor range without issues.

Electronic will cancel out sound better (and there are in-ear models as well) but if you can't spring for a couple hundred bucks, the Surefires work well.

I've used both and have been comfortable with both. Used the Surefires on ranges and on a flight line surrounded by turboprop engines without problem. My howard leight earmuffs work well, but some other pairs I have used weren't as good at blocking out sound and caused issues when shooting my SBR when it still wore a side-venting muzzle brake.

I use the EarPros and like them a lot. They are comfortable over long periods of time, and block the sound well. I have no problem spending a few hours in an indoor range with them. I don't like using muffs because they keep me from getting a good cheek weld when shooting a rifle.
