    ***** UPDATE *****

    1. - My check has been cashed just ONE WEEK after mailing my Form 4!!!!!!
    2. - See post #178 for first range trip pics and video!

    ***** UPDATE *****

It took a little over TWO MONTHS for the Form 3 to be approved! I hope that is not an omen that it will take my Form 4 longer than expected. I'm using my NFA Trust on this one so very excited! Pics to follow, heading to gun shop now :)

You're going to love the Mystic. Good luck on a quick form 4. I'm a little over 3 months in on a trust form 4 now and can't wait.

In the meantime I will be buying boosters and adapters for the hosts. CAN'T WAIT!!! I even bought 2000 rounds of subsonic 9mm already in anticipation :).

If I can ask, what is the Form 3 for ; are you a SOT? All I deal with are 1's and 4's.

The Forum 3 is For a dealer to dealer transfer. The dealer I bought it from in Texas sends a form 3 to ATF so they (TX SOT) can transfer it to my dealer locally, Tax free. The form 4 is of course for me to send to ATF along with my $200 check.

The delay on the form 3's might be the biggest screw job of them all. Why can't SOTs transfer goods as long as the final owner goes through the whole process?

Yes, I know that the entire system is designed to make us not want to go through the hassle.

What kills me is that in most countries you are required to have a silencer so as not to disturb your neighbors. America is so backwards in so many ways!!! Buying a silencer should be as easy as buying a gun since It is considered a firearm on form 4.

The problem with buying at a local gun shop, at least here in South Florida anyway, is that the price of the can is about $200 more than if you bought it online.

Is paying $200 more For the same silencer worth saving my trustee the hassle of fingerprints and pictures? For me the answer is a resounding NO!!!!!

Congrats on the can. I just ordered my first can (Tacsol Axiom) and I am trying to decide what I want for centerfire. I have been looking at the Mystic, but I want to shoot one first. You need to look into reloading, 165 grain 9mm's will be a LOT cheaper than buying factory subsonic.

Very nice! I'm seriously thinking about getting a suppressor for my 9mm. Now I just need to figure out which one.

ATF can process the tax payment quickly enough. I submitted two form 4's in January. Waiting for approval is made easier at my gun shop; they allow use of the suppressors at their indoor range during the approval process. Yesterday, was the first time using an Octane 45 with the CZ Scorpion SBR.

yeah i'm friends with my normal sot and he always cuts a great deal ,but he doesn't ever carry cans in stock. If I have him order anything at this point the chances of getting it in before 41f comes around are slim.Everyone else by me is pretty much full msrp on in stock stuff ,but at least there's no form 3 wait.I wouldn't care normally, but I have my mother on my trust in case something ever happens to me.The chances of me getting her to go get fingerprinted and photo's every 2 yrs is slim lol.I really only want to grab one of those new optimus cans from griffin anyway

I want another can myself but I'm worried about the form 3 delays as well. I have several people on my trust so the new regs are a PITA. I'm thinking of starting a new trust with just my wife and I come July.

I'm currently at just under two months after submitting form 4. Took six weeks for them to cash the check, not a good sign.
