I have read up a lot, anD all of my sources state 11.5” is the right length for a suppressor, an 10.5” is too short of a dwell time. I’m assuming my sources meaning 11.5” is the right< as in minimum for reliability> length when adding a can and still be in 18” range length. That’s assuming 7” is typical length of a can. It can’t mean that a 12.5 or longer would have cycling issues. I then I saw an advertise barrel and it was 13.7 with a midlength gas system instead of carbine like the 10.5 and the 11.5, and 12.5 systems. I then started to wonder if a 13.7” with a mid length have he exact dwell time compared to an 11.5 with a carbine has system? Here’s a shameless pic of my SBR.
