Hi all. This is my first post on this here forum and I figured I would try to make it interesting.

I woke up to sunny skies and the thought I may have to go for a ride on this...
Upon closer inspection I found I indeed needed to ride the machine above.
Fortunately I looked right and found this critter pointing south.
Immediately I knew I needed to disregard any responsibility I may have to my yard and follow a different path...
So I set off only to stop about thirty miles south to admire the California side of Topaz Lake.
Obviously there were others who needed to mow the lawn.
A stop in Walker California to honor the fallen air tanker pilots who died fighting the Walker fire.
    Sunday traffic through Walker Canyon.
Turning into the twisties from Hwy 395.
Pretty sure there is a road up there somewhere.
I hope they are not using live ammo up yonder.
This is where we unload the sleds in winter.
    Sweet.
I must figure out a way to carry my skis.
Topped out. Pretty cold. A girl in a mini skirt pulled up right after I took this pic. She bent over to pick up her dog and I saw her bottom. Sorry no pics.

Coming down the West side looking back up from whence I came.
The descent. More twisties to come.
I am sure I do not like this person. I am certain I do not like the ten people in front of him.
I had no way to carry the fence otherwise it would have been mine!
Stopped at the Sonora tourist info place letting the critter rest. Get feeling back in hands.
What the heck is up with this road?
I guess they were tired of folks careening into oblivion.
In retrospect, a swim would have been nice.
After a bag of Doritos and a Monster energy drink in Murphy California, it's back into the hills.
Just a hop, skip and a jump over the hill.
After some spirited riding I decided to check out the Local ski hill Bear Valley.
    Same stop looking East-ish.
    Next stop Lake Alpine...
More Lake Alpine just 'cause its purdy.
Darnit! Not more steep windy roads!
Almost topped out and out of obscurity.
Action photo the skinny road getting up towards the pass.
I dare you to tell me this ain't a good picture!

A bunch of pics of the corkscrewiness gnarl.
    Finally topped out.
A couple shots of the home stretch.
Try to stay on the road.
Rolling into the booming metropolis of Markleeville.
Almost home. My Wrists were sore. My back was frozen into some stinkbug position. My fingers were numb.
To celebrate a successful double traverse of the mighty Sierra Nevada range I figure I would stretch Bonnie out to her first "Ton" Obviously not done while taking action photos.
A right turn ahead and we are home.
Bonnie tucked in for the night.
Now on to the next task.
Ok it's fake beer but it tasted good. The tri-tip sure was tasty.

Hopefully you enjoyed my lazy Sunday TR. Bonnie ran great and I did not re-jet.

I am glad you went riding instead of cutting grass, the pics would not have been as interesting.

Mountain Warfare Training Center:wavey: Probably the best chow hall in the USMC. Been a few years since I climbed 9494 out there in Bridgeport Cali! Great pics.

I work with a guy who was a sniper instructor there. I'll have to ask him about the food.

I know snipers train out in the area, but I think they actually shoot across the border in NV. I can't remember the name of place though. The E-club there in Pickle meadows used to have a onetime purchase of a big plastic mug/cup, fillup of beer after that was CHEAP! Good country over there! Thanks for bringing back some memories:)
