OK am I missing something here?

I just looked at the 2004 WA, ID and OR Results.

In all three events this year the Am Sub Compact score was lower than the lowest AM Civ score.

ID Am Civ 78.59 Am Sub 74.09
OR Am Civ 86.85 Am Sub 85.88
    WA Am Cib 87.39 Am Sub 81.03, 86.68, 86.80

I shoot the little one slightly better than the big one because the little one takes longer to find the front sight after recoil; consequently better aimed shots. And I tend to shoot the bigger one high because I don't wait long enough for the front to come down all the way. I'm not strong enough to lock my wrists. Come on, I know I'm gonna jerk it low anyway.

Probably a different reason for each shooter.

...I shoot better (ie quicker, more accurately) w/my 27 than I do w/my 17 or my 34...in GSSF and IDPA.

Some people have written about it..the barrel being shorter thus stiffer.and the bullet exiting the barrel before the weapon begins to cycle..the recoil spring, etc.

Haven't done a study myself,..but I find it easy to shoot.

I think I find the sight quicker..and it also aims easier w/the short sight radius.

...didn't want to leave out the 30.

I shot DTOMs, @ a local IDPA match, after we were finished.

...I couldn't believe how accurate and quick it is; beats my 27.

myself I think it has something to do with the design of the dual recoil spring, the locking block, the shorter barrel, combining together with the fact that the bullet is leaving the barrel quicker (compared to a G19 or 17) before you or the the gun can adversely effect the bullets flight.

I would be interested to see if anyone has scoped a 26 or a 30 and tried to shoot unlimited with it

Only cost about $300 for a mount and an optical beer can. Plus $25 for the entry and you should have a strong constitution because you certainly would look foolish to the other shooters. LOL. A beer can on a G26. Great carry gun in that configuration, also.
