I woke up this morning with ringing in my left ear. It gets worse when I yawn, but I haven't managed to pop my ears to release any pressure that's in there.

I've had weird, seemingly no-reason-to-happen ringing in my ears from time to time in the past, but it's never lasted longer than a few minutes.

Do I have the AIDS or something?

I had a similar problem a few years ago. Came out of nowhere. I went to the doctor and there was no damage. I was told to take mucinex. Problem cleared up within a day or two after taking the mucinex. I was greatly relieved.

Didn't you just post in another thread about having an autoimmune disease affecting your nervous system?

If you get something in your eye you should see a doctor.

Does that mean if something is wrong with your ears you should hear a doctor? :dunno:

I used it tonight. A bunch. Deadlifting and squatting. Didn't help with the ringing.

Yup. I've had CIDP since 2004, and it's basically under control with medication, to the point where I'm weight training to get my strength back. Never had it make my ears ring, though.

Had tinnitus my entire life (busted ear drum at 18 months).

Hardly pay attention to it any more.

No, sounds more like the clap. The Tinnitus is what is the clue. It always picks on the left ear and gets louder when you yawn.

Check out The American Tinnitus Association They have all the answers on Tinnitus, though no cure as of yet.

same here..most of my life, not the 18 month thing though.. Had a lot of bad ear infections when I was a kid. I don't notice the ringing now. Plus i figured some of my prior jobs, shooting without hearing protection when younger and loud music from my youth didn't help things too much either.

I had a similar problem for a few years. Got the cure though..divorce. I have since found a non-ringing or yapping model. Plan on keeping this one.

With big lifts in SQ and DL, it's not unusual to blow small blood vessels from a good blood pressure spike. Usually it affects the eyes, but can cause problem with the ears too.
