Hey GTers, I've got a business event in the Great State of Texas and was wondering what the can't miss stuff to do in San Antonio is. We're definitely in for the River Walk and Alamo, but time is kind of limited and I want to make sure to see as much of the best stuff as I can.
I also like to eat and know there's a lot of good food down that way. Maybe some local lesser known eateries or good places for steak and/or southwest cuisine.
Let's hear your suggestions. I know GlockTalkers know how to have a good time. BTW, we're staying at the Grand Hyatt downtown and will have a rental car. Thanks a ton!

    Don't pee on the Alamo.

    We don't like that.

When you're on the River Walk, you must eat at County Line BBQ. It is the best BBQ I've ever had. Also, if you get a chance, don't go to the River Walk on a weekend, you'll never get anything done - its too crowded. Weekday mornings are best if you really want to enjoy the place. Skip the boat rides, they cost a lot and the wait isn't worth it.

I will be there this weekend also. But then again I live in Houston so I can go anytime. 3 hour drive.

Does the Inferno still exist there? Remember it from my Basic Training days at Lackland Airplane Patch, a must see.

I've heard the basement attraction at the Alamo is pretty funny.
