They had to do a study to figure that out?
Seems like it would be common sense given that teens who drink do so in excess, with the goal off drinking until they pass out.
So lets make alcohol illegal for teens.
Did somebody expect teens to be exempt from the effects of alcohol?
or a "just say no" to alcohol campaign.
I really wonder about these studies.
So mj is less harmful to your brain than a controlled substance your prohibited from possessing or using.
Is that some kind of endorsement for legalizing mj?
Yeah, why would they even bother researching the effects of the two most popular abused drugs?
Then when they find out that the effects are not 100% exactly the same for both, they should have refused to publish their findings so that the public wouldn't think they were endorsing increased abuse of the lesser of the two evils.
When I was a teen (40 years ago), I did a "little bit" of both.
Therefore, I've been studying my brain, as of lately.
Neither one of those really wrecked it.
It's the internet. The Internet boiled my brain way worse than anything we did in high school.
(And probably TV, now. I think Wrecker Wars and Jersey Shores and Springer and RedNecks That Kill Things And Get On TV, might have made me a little bit smarter. I need to study it some more.)
Uugh. Can you imagine being a teen without booze and drugs? No thanks.
This just in. "Teen brain worse for America."
A new study?? Are they still giving away money to Heck, we found that out in 1973 while doing research in college.
i've participated in my own clinical trials with this and had the same conclusions
Wasn't there a recent study which indicated lower IQ for teens who smoked pot?
My conclusions were...sort of...foggy.
The researchers who did that study huffed back in high school, so it was thrown out.
Teenaged Brain is an oxymoron, with the emphasis on moron.
Unscrupulous operators could confuse
Exploit and deceive the reflex theories and change the probabilities
It's a crass and rockous crackas place
With pavlov on the human race
It's a terrible illness, it's a terrible case
And it's usually permanent when it takes place
It's a teenage nervous breakdown
Nervous teenage breakdown
No surprise to anyone who has used or has been around people using both.
Another waste of money. Alcohol has long been proven to cause serious brain/neurological problems (in addition to liver cirrhosis/kidney failure), marijuana has not.
Studies are based on statistics, and statistics are like a bikini.
What they reveal is interesting, but what they hide is vital.
If a substance is "not as bad as", the general attitude is that it must be good............Right.
