my glock 19 came with the extended "+" magazine floor plate.
i find it useless, as it adds unnecessary bulk to my pistol. i used to have a m21 and could easily remove the floor plate. but on my m19, after i push the release button on the bottom of the mag, the floor plate just won't slide off all the way, it moves only about a quarter of an inch forward. im afraid to force it off cause i may damage it.
    what can you guys suggest?
would it be ok if i oil it a bit and then try pushing it off?

any comments and suggestions would be most appreciated..

    thanks

If you have the + mag that i think you have, try pushing the release button in about a quarter of inch. oil well do you no good other than making a mess.

You actually have to push far enough to flip the locking insert over and out of the way. Watch the video contained in the thread above about a g27 magazine.
