Struck out for PIG and Turkey

    Well I just got back from a hunt in San Ardo, CA. We were going after wild turkey and hog. Lets just say the weather and low daylight (for turkey) really played hell with us. To make matters worse, this time of year, the hogs come out pretty much well after dark and hit their beds well before dawn. I did spot a big fat porker (about 350 lbs I would guess) in his bed, but he was across a ravine and over 550 yards aways with a 20 mile an hour cross wind. I had my Sako 7mm Rem Mag, but I did not take the shot since I doubted I could nail him and I didn't want to just "wound" him because finding him again would have been next to impossible given it was already close to sun set.

    I did get my pig skull back from a previous hunt. Here are some pics:
