I can't compare the Streamlight to other brands.
The first light/laser I bought was the Streamlight TLR-2. I liked it so well I bought five more.
I have them on everything from practice 22 pistols and rifles, to HD pistols, rifles and shotguns.

They work good, are bright and reliable and the laser holds Zero.

I searched the internet and found about half of them for $200.

I have the TLR-1 on a Benelli Nova and it's held up fine. Also have one on an M&P9 and the TLR-2 on an M&P45. All three have been great to me.

Not sure how it's priced elsewhere, but Optics Planet has it for $102.95 plus free shipping.

This on that, works great on my Taurus.Nice and bright and the mount also holds very sturdy.I have fired about 50 rounds with the light attached to verify it wont fall off when really needed.

TLR-3 here, too. Not quite as powerful as the TLR-1, but it's smaller and lighter... and costs less
