  1. Storage Food Review: Homemade Beef Jerky - 8 Year Update!

In 2011 we made some beef jerky. I’ve kept it in a drawer in my refrigerator since to see how long it will last stored that way. We did an initial update after 4 years. Here is that video:

This is our 8 year update. I’ll keep updating this every few years until it goes bad or I leave YouTube whichever comes first.

  2. Ha-Ha....next time I clean out my fridge and cupboards I gotta invite my buddy over for some "taste testing"...even if the stuff looks back at us.

    Edit to add:

Hope we're all around to get the 50 year update on the jerky. Love these videos.

  4. It will be in a blender by then, but probably still good. :p

  5. good to hear

  6. A pale second to Twinkies. . .
Those suckers can last 60 years.

  7. Eat enough of those and you won't need an embalmer when you kick the bucket!

  8. That's pretty cool! I had no clue jerky could last that long stored the way you did.

I look forward to the 12 year update!
