Just a heads up, I had a Glock 23 stolen out of my car on the east side of Indy just south of Geist lake. They stole the gun and my car registration.

I've already filed a police report, but if any dealers run across any being sold or traded the last 3 digits of the serial # are 210

Probably should post the whole serial number.

Can I ask how it was secured in the car?

There are times when I need to leave my gun in the car but I have not done it yet for this very reason. I am looking into the various auto gun safes but am unsure how secure they really are.

They stole your car registration? Am I missing something there, or is there really no way to profit from that?

    Profit:

    1. They now have his home address.
    2. They now know he owns guns.

I would have to repaint some walls.

They stole my work cell phone too. I think they got it mixed up with their own cell phone because i called it and they answered. If they made any calls from it to friends/relatives they may be in a mess when the call history statement comes out.

Ah, that's a good point. It might've been a better idea to just record the address and leave the registration, as the OP now knows that they know where he lives. On the other hand, these people are clearly not the brightest around.

Here's hoping they slip up before tooms has to repaint his walls.

Quite a few years ago BGs were breaking into cars on church parking lots and stealing the registrations. They then had an address and knew when someone would not be home.

BTW our church now has an armed guard ;)

You know this world has went down the drain when you have an armed officer at a Church for crying out loud.

Nobody said anything about "officer". I was refering to myself (I am in charge of the parking lot "attendants" and I am armed). But, yes it is a different world. We have had cars broken into and vandalized during services.
