I'm planning to buy a few hundred rounds of 9mm NATO. My questions are...

    1) Who manufactures the best?
    2) Can you recommend a specific lot number?
    3) What distributor would you recommend?
    4) Have you had any problems/issues with any 9mm NATO?

My primary use for this ammo would be target practice, being that it has similar bullet weight, pressure levels, and recoil as my SD rounds.

A big +1 for SGAmmo. I just bought 1000 rds. of NATO 9mm from them and I like it. Good ammo (The Winchester NATO) at a good price.

Just a heads up, the primers are crimped.

Personally I'd skip the Win NATO stuff and buy the RUAG Ammotec RWS, DAG or Geco 124FMJ or even S&B's or Fiocchi's 124FMJ. Now days the Win or Fed "NATO" ammo is over rated and is no better than any of the above listed brands.

The point of using the Winchester "NATO" ammo is it's higher pressure and more closely matches +P SD loads.

The crimped primers initially gave me some problems reloading and sometimes I'll just have to toss a case or two but for the most part they reload fine.

sgammo is about as good a price as you'll find.

I'll add by saying Brown Bear 9mm is loaded pretty hot, it has as much recoil as Winchester NATO out of my G19.

Best of all its inexpensive, try a couple boxes for yourself.

    Good information, thanks.

Awhile back I bought few hundred rounds of Sellier & Bellot 124gr FMJ. Seems to be good quality ammo with sealed primers and on the "hot" side. Fiocchi is also on the "hot" side, but now now I'm thinking about trying S & B's 124gr. soft point. Any thoughts on that?

Does anyone have chronograph results of Winchester NATO? I checked the link posted by Trio Fijo, is that correct? I was hopping for around 1200fps.

I've bought 9mm NATO, usually just a box at a time. I shoot it, and carry it, in my Beretta 92FS. It's my way of pretending I'm in Iraq or Afghanistan.
