I don't like the finger grooves on my 19, is it legal for me to shoot GSSF if I grind 'em off, and stipple the grip frame.

Sure, if you want to shoot that G19 in Master Unlimited.

For stock classes, no frame/slide alterations, no aftermarket parts.

You could, depending on your locale, go perusing some brick & mortar gunshops (and I don't mean Gander Mtn) looking for a LE-trade-in 2nd Generation G19; online as well. You don't need a rail for GSSF anyway unless you are doing Unlimited. Sometimes those 2nd gen trade-ins can be had pretty reasonably.

Or perhaps work out a face-to-face with someone in your area with a Gen 2 gun that would appreciate your grooves & rail & trade. The sale of Hogue sleeves would indicate there are such folks out there.
