I have been looking at picking up another 5" 1911. I currently have a Colt 1991A1 and while it has run flawlessly, I would like to take a step up in the 1911 world. This gun will pull duty as HD, range toy, and even carried once in a while.I have heard nothing but great things about the TRP but the STI has caught my eye as well. Made in the U.S., good quality etc. Anyone have experience with both of these? Price difference is in favor of the STI by around $200. Thanks!

I'm a fan of both companies, I have guns from both. Personally, I would go with the Lawman 5.0.

You can't go wrong with the TRP. Excellent gun and excellent customer service.

I gotta agree. Whichever one you like the looks of the best.

Thanks for the responses everyone. I've decided to go with the Lawman 4. I don't have a 4" 1911 yet and this looks like it will fit the bill. I put my name on the list with Brazo's. They said they should have one coming in on the 15th and that I'm the only one in line for it. I can't wait!

Agree, either way is the right turn at that intersection.
